The Law Library is providing a no cost 20 minute timed meeting for library patrons who are filing their own cases without an attorney and are interested in discussing their legal dispute with a Florida attorney.

Many hearings are now be held by Zoom - an online audio and web conferencing platform.  In order to help our patrons navigate this conferencing tool,   RJS Board of Trustees Member Jim Wilder and University of Florida Community Resource Agent Carol Roberts have put together a helpful instructional video on using Zoom. Many thanks to Mr. Wilder and Ms. Roberts!  Please contact the library if you'd like to reserve the library conference room for an upcoming trial.

 Public Legal Education Videos

In conjunction with the St. Lucie County Clerk of the Circuit Court and the St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners, the Friends of the Rupert J. Smith Law Library Public Legal Education Committee is pleased to announce the development of educational videos for our patrons. Each of these videos presents information on a specific legal topic, designed to help you navigate through the legal process.

CLE Lending Library

The library offers the loan of Florida Bar CLE recordings on CD-ROM via mail.  You are only responsible for return postage.  Click here to see a list of available programs.  There are often wait lists for these programs so please request them early.

Conference Rooms

Conference rooms are available for reservation in both the Main Branch downtown and the South County Branch in the Paul A. Lewis Public Library.

Live CLE Programs

We are unable to offer live CLE presentations at this time.
