Grand Opening Reception - Feburary 25, 2010

 

 

The Friends of the Rupert J. Smith Law Library invited the public to a Reception and Dedication of the new law library located at 221 South Indian River Drive in downtown Fort Pierce , held on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. Chief Judge Levin spoke in honor of the library’s official opening.

 

The Rupert J. Smith Law Library of St. Lucie County is a free and public library for the use of all citizens of the Treasure Coast .  The library’s purpose is to help provide equal access to the law by housing a depository of legal books as well as staff to help the patrons.  In addition to the law books, the library has subscriptions to Westlaw and other online databases typically used by attorneys.  These are free.  The Friends of the Law Library is a non-profit organization whose mission includes promoting the library, the legal community as well as citizens who use the library.
